Planning your stay at Casa Kronos? This page covers the most common questions we receive about the house, amenities, local tips, and what to expect during your visit to San Carlos, Sonora. Whether you’re a first-time guest or returning for another trip, this guide will help you feel fully prepared and confident before you arrive in Mexico. 

Casa Kronos comfortably sleeps up to 15 guests in 5 bedrooms. No more guests allowed past the sleeping capacity of the home (15) without prior approval, charge may apply. Two rooms feature a king and queen bed (each with a private balcony), while the other three rooms offer full-size bunk beds ideal for families or groups.

Casa Kronos comfortably sleeps up to 15 guests. The base rate typically covers this number; however, extra-person charges may apply if your group exceeds the standard occupancy, if additional beds or services are requested. Final pricing will reflect your group size and any applicable add-ons at the time of booking.

Casa Kronos features a spacious two-story layout spanning 199 square meters (approximately 2,142 square feet). One bedroom is located on the ground floor and includes a full-size bunk bed, situated next to a shared full bathroom. The remaining four bedrooms are upstairs, including the master suite with its own private bathroom. An additional full bathroom is also located on the second floor.

Each bedroom is equipped with a dresser, luggage rack, and a hanging rack with hangers for your convenience. To get a better feel for the space, you can take a virtual tour of the house here.

Yes, there’s a wood or charcoal burning grill located on the rooftop terrace, which offers beautiful views along with comfortable seating and a dining space.

Playa San Francisco is about 800 meters away or just a little bit less than a half a mile. That’s about 3 minutes away by car. 

Most local restaurants, shops, and everyday conveniences in San Carlos are just a 5–10 minute drive from Casa Kronos. For larger stores like Sam’s Club and Walmart, Guaymas is about 20 minutes away. If you’re planning a day trip to Hermosillo, expect a drive of approximately an hour and a half.

While you can potentially use taxis, rideshare services or public transportation in San Carlos, we highly recommend having a car. It makes getting around much easier, whether you’re heading to the Mirador (San Carlos Vista Point) lookout, visiting the San Carlos Marina Real, trying out different restaurants, or exploring nearby beaches and scenic spots. Having a car gives you more freedom and convenience to enjoy everything the area has to offer.

Bicycles can also be a nice way to travel around San Carlos.

The minimum stay at Casa Kronos is typically 2 nights, but this may vary depending on the season, holidays, or special events. Please check the booking calendar for specific requirements during your travel dates.

Guests must be at least 25 years old to book Casa Kronos, and the primary renter must be present during the stay. A signed rental agreement, government-issued photo ID, and a credit card, debit card, or cash deposit may be required at check-in for incidental charges. The booking guest is responsible for the condition of the home and the behavior of all guests.

We welcome well-behaved dogs at Casa Kronos. To accommodate the additional cleaning and maintenance required, a non-refundable pet fee of $75 per stay applies. This fee helps ensure the home remains clean and comfortable for all guests. Please note that pets must be approved in advance, and guests are responsible for any damages caused by their pets. For more details or to include your pet in your reservation, please contact us directly.

Check-out is at 10:00 AM.

Casa Kronos is a smoke-free home. Smoking is not permitted inside the house under any circumstances. If you choose to smoke outside, we kindly ask that you do so away from doors and windows to avoid smoke drifting indoors. If smoking is detected inside the home, the cost of cleaning and deodorizing will be deducted from your security deposit.

Please do not throw cigarette butts on the ground or around the property. This is both a fire risk and a littering issue. Dispose of all smoking materials properly using an ashtray or designated container. Help us keep the space clean, safe, and enjoyable for all guests.

Yes, Casa Kronos offers free on-site parking for guests. The driveway has space for 3 vehicles, making it convenient for families or groups traveling with more than one car.
The terrace is equipped with a safety railing, but children should always be supervised.
We do not recommend drinking tap water. A filtered water jug is provided and can be refilled at any OXXO in town.
